Program Manager, Medical Responder Programs, Health Sciences Division

The Health Sciences Division invites applications for the position of Program Manager, Medical Responder Programs. Reporting to the Director of the Health Sciences Division, the incumbent is primarily responsible for the administrative oversight, program-level management, and delivery of First Responder (FR), Emergency Medical Responder (EMR) and First Aid (FA) programs.  In addition to the accountability for meeting defined educational and financial targets, the incumbent is also responsible for:

  • Management of and accountability for educational curriculum and program delivery;
  • Instructing, evaluating and monitoring faculty within each of the programs, as required;
  • Oversight of Paramedic Stores;
  • Business development and marketing of the Medical Responder Program portfolio.

Program Manager, Customized Conflict Resolution and Leadership Training - Full Time Term

Community and Social Justice (CSJ) Division seeks an experienced manager with business acumen, an educator’s background and a passion for conflict resolution and leadership, for the position of Program Manager, Customized Conflict Resolution & Leadership Training. Reporting to the Program Director, the incumbent is responsible for managing all aspects of the customized training and education business unit, including the development and delivery of customized conflict resolution and leadership training solutions targeting business, government and community-based organizations as primary clients. This position also provides leadership in the area of curriculum development and undertakes projects to further the strategic goals of the Centre’s business development.

Instructor/Coordinator, Emergency Management Division

As a contributing member of EMD’s eighteen person team, this full-time regular position is responsible for coordinating and facilitating emergency management training and exercises for government and private sector organizations, within our contract/core client team. The Instructor/Coordinator will also be responsible for adjusting curriculum for delivery by our sessional instructors, working with clients to develop training and exercises, and developing expertise to maintain and deliver emergency management courses which align with their area of expertise.

Program Director, Fire and Safety Division (New Westminster Campus and Maple Ridge Campus)

Reporting to the Director, the Program Director is a member of the Division’s Leadership and Operations teams and is responsible for the leadership, management, accreditation, development, and evaluation of Fire & Safety Division’s (FSD’s) academic programming, including the development, implementation, and evaluation of the Local Operating Plan in assigned area(s). The incumbent supports the strategic direction of the JIBC through the design and implementation of appropriate programming; human resource leadership and management; and faculty development. The Program Director directly supervises a variety of Program Managers, Coordinators, and administrative staff and indirectly provides supervision to FSD sessional and contract faculty.

Senior Web Specialist, Centre for Teaching, Learning and Innovation and Office of Applied Research and Graduate Studies (Full-Time term to August 31, 2019

The Senior Web Specialist is responsible for designing, developing, and directing the design, creation, and publishing of online courses and learning materials across the JIBC by working with all academies/divisions and external stakeholders, enhancing and maintaining online course website security principles at the JIBC, administering JIBC online courses (websites e.g., WordPress and learning management systems (LMS), e.g., Blackboard), and other related duties.
