Correctional Officers supervise sentenced and remanded adult male and female offenders in correctional centres throughout British Columbia. CCJD trains all Adult Correctional Officers in the province of British Columbia, in partnership with the Ministry of Justice, Corrections Branch. All of our courses are post-hire, meaning that they're only available to individuals who have already been hired by the Corrections Branch; not available to the general public.

This 14-day (7 credit) program is designed for frontline and management staff that support and assist individuals in coping with the immediate consequences of crime and trauma. This program is open to individuals from a broad range of occupations and professions who may be required to provide or manage debriefing services at their own or other work sites following a critical incident. The program will be of specific interest to frontline responders such as crisis intervention workers, victim services workers, fire fighters, and paramedics.
